Short Biography
Dr. Lijing Fang is a researcher at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. As an independent research team leader (Principal Investigator), Dr. Fang specializes in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology. Her recent work has been centered on pioneering targeted protein degradation technologies, which have resulted in the development of several novel degradation strategies aimed at different intracellular, extracellular, and cell membrane proteins. Dr. Fang has published over 40 papers in academic journals, including Nature Chemical Biology, Nature Communications, the Journal of the American Chemical Society, and the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. Furthermore, she has successfully led numerous research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, the Shenzhen Science and Technology Program, and the Shenzhen Medical Research Funds.
Presentation Topic: Targeted degradation of cell membrane proteins via the endosomal-lysosomal pathway
• The targeted degradation of cell membrane and extracellular proteins has introduced novel opportunities for drug development.
• Integrin-Facilitated Lysosomal Degradation (IFLD) Strategy for Extracellular or Membrane Proteins.
• Targeted Degradation of Cell Surface Proteins through Endocytosis Triggered by Cell-Penetrating Peptide-Small Molecule Conjugates (CPPTACs).
• The development of novel Degrader-Drug Conjugates (DDCs) based on the TPD strategy targeting cell membrane proteins.
