    TPD Program Lead

    HitGen Inc.

    Short Biography

Dr. Xiaomei Li serves as the Program lead of the Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) Platform at HitGen Inc. (Chengdu). Leveraging HitGen’s DNA-encoded compound library (DEL) screening platform and integrating capabilities in drug discovery, she established a novel E3 ubiquitin ligase-driven TPD platform. Dr. Li holds a Ph.D. from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, and an M.S. from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. She conducted biotechnology research at the University of Copenhagen and the Niels Bohr Institute (Denmark). With 14 years of experience in biotechnology research, she possesses extensive expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, and biophysical R&D. Currently, she leads multiple novel E3 ligase ligand discovery projects and has completed cellular mechanism of action (MOA) studies for most of the leading programs, which ultimately enables development of innovative molecular glue screening technology platforms.

Presentation Topic: DEL for Molecular Glues: New Chemotype Discovery and Evaluation

    • As critical effectors inducing ternary complex formation (E3 ligase-target protein), molecular glues demonstrate unique advantages against undruggable targets.
    • DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology enables screening of novel E3 ubiquitin ligase ligands, prioritizing those with tissue/cellular specificity or functional selectivity for targeted degradation.
    • Integrating molecular glue-focused DEL screening with high-throughput chemical synthesis and biological evaluation platforms facilitates rapid expansion of glue chemical diversity, accelerating molecular glue discovery and optimization.
