    Short Biography

Dr. Baishan Jiang is a Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Wuhan University. His research focuses on the discovery and development of innovative small-molecule therapeutics, particularly targeted protein degraders, molecular glue degraders, and covalent inhibitors for the treatment of cancer and other human diseases. He received his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He subsequently served as an Assistant Researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences before joining Harvard Medical School and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he completed postdoctoral training and later worked as a Research Scientist. In 2022, he joined Wuhan University as a full Professor. He has played key roles in the discovery of selective degraders for cyclin-dependent kinases, such as CDK4/6 and CDK12/13, and other disease-relevant targets, including CK1a and NEK7 etc., helping to establish new therapeutic strategies for previously difficult-to-drug proteins. His work has been published in leading journals, including Cancer Discov, Angew Chem, Nat Chem Biol, Nat Commun, Adv Sci, Sci Adv, Cell Chem Biol and J Med Chem.
