    Short Biography

Dr. Nan Chen received his Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Peking University in January 2019 under the supervision of Professor Chu Wang, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at The Rockefeller University in the United States. In March 2021, he returned to China and co-founded ChomiX Biotech (Nanjing) Co., Ltd . together with Professor Chu Wang, Academician Zijian Guo, and others. Since 2022, he has served as an external advisor for professional graduate programs at Nanjing University and has been recognized as an Entrepreneurial Talent under Jiangsu Province’s “Double Innovation Plan.”
Dr. Nan Chen has long focused on the development of chemoproteomics technologies and their application in small-molecule drug discovery and mechanism studies. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles, filed 17 domestic patent applications (7 granted), and holds 2 PCT international patents.

Presentation Topic: Drug Discovery and Development Enabled by Live-Cell Chemical Proteomics
Rapid and precise identification of drug-like small molecules is essential in early-stage drug discovery. While target-directed discovery (TDD) technologies—such as DEL, intact protein MS, AS-MS, and SPR—have advanced screening efficiency, they face limitations when addressing “undruggable” targets like membrane proteins, deubiquitinases, and transcription factors, largely due to their reliance on purified proteins and the artificial nature of in vitro systems. This presentation will introduce a live-cell chemoproteomics platform that enables covalent small molecule screening, target enrichment, site-specific mapping, and multi-omics analysis directly within living cells. By eliminating the need for protein purification, this approach significantly improves the tractability of challenging targets. We will highlight the unique advantages of ChomiX Biotech’s platform and its innovative applications in covalent drug discovery and the development of radionuclide drug conjugates (RDCs), offering a new paradigm for lead compound identification and optimization.Rapid and precise identification of drug-like small molecules is essential in early-stage drug discovery.
